Branch Office
Government of India has allowed foreign companies engaged in the manufacturing and trading activities abroad, to set up Branch Offices in India for some/all of the following objectives:
* To represent the parent company /other foreign companies in India, in various matters e.g. acting as the buying/selling agents in India.
* To conduct research work in the area in which its parent company is exclusively engaged.
* To undertake and execute export and import trading activities
* To promote possible technical and financial collaborations between the Indian companies and the overseas companies.
* Providing professional or consultancy services.
* Offering services in the Information technology and development of software in India.
* Extending technical support to the products supplied by the parent/ Group companies.
* Foreign airline/ shipping company
